The Sloan Consortium and MERLOT invite you to submit a proposal for the 6th Annual Emerging Technologies for Online Learning International Symposium, to be held April 9-11, 2013 at the Planet Hollywood Resort in Las Vegas, NV.

The Emerging Technologies for Online Learning International Symposium, a joint Symposium of Sloan Consortium and MERLOT, is designed to bring together individuals interested in the review and evaluation of emerging technologies' impact on online teaching and learning. We seek interactive sessions that engage and inform participants.

Blackboard Designing an Exemplary Course - part of the CourseSites Open Course Series

We are excited to be working with the CourseSites team to launch the “Designing an Exemplary Course,” as part of the CourseSites Open Course Series.

Course Description: Using the Blackboard Exemplary Course Program (ECP) Rubric as a guide, this open course will provide both theoretical concepts and practical tools for instructors to recognize, organize, and build online courses for both blended learners and online learners.

We'll introduce the ideas, provide some references, explore alternatives and select one MOOC for collaborative exploration.
